We Believe

What an awesome day we had last Sunday with Paul Young! The content of each morning service was different so if you want to get the full impact, I would encourage you to catch up with the services you did not attend. The Q & A in the evening was also very inspiring. Each of these sessions are now online on our website at http://www.ccconline.cc/sermons2.htm. These sessions are also available for purchase on CD or DVD. Great tools to pass on to your friends!

We begin this Sunday with a two-week study regarding what we believe. It will be a great follow-up for our guests that were drawn to our church through last week's outreach. I am excited to share these life-changing principles with you.

February brings us another significant outreach opportunity with Dave Roever on Sunday, February 22. This will be especially impacting to those who have served our country in the military. Dave's story is one of triumph over tragedy. He shares it with an amazing sense of humor and love for God.

It is also time to join a small group as we launch 40 Days of Love. This will be a perfect way to build relationships with others and learn how we can impact our community through growing in love. Please pursue joining a group near you.

1 Thessalonians 3:12 "May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you."

Side by Side

We are entering the home stretch of our 21 day Transformation Challenge! I am hearing numbers of incredible stories of what the Lord is doing in individual lives. There is no doubt that we open ourselves up to more of God's presence and power when we focus our attention on Him through fasting and prayer. So . . . seven days to go. It's not too late to join in this journey of faith.

There are tools on our website to access for the outreach on January 25 with W. Paul Young, author of The Shack. You can email invitations to your friends as well as watch some clips of an interview that Paul did with the 700 Club. We are going to have a great day! Also, W. Paul Young will be at Borders on Fair Oaks Blvd. on Saturday, January 24 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for a book signing opportunity.

These are exciting times and I am looking forward to seeing you Sunday when we complete the story of Nehemiah and the miracle of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. So much can be accomplished when we join with one another and work together for common goals. "Side By Side" is the focus of Sunday's message.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17).

Faith and Favor

This past Sunday we had 1,044 individuals sign in acceptance of our 21-day Transformation Challenge. In the beginnings of this new year, we can build a foundation of spiritual strength that will propel us to great impact throughout the months ahead. If you have not yet committed to this challenge, consider joining us now. You can find more information regarding our prayer focus by clicking here: Transformation Challenge

This week's study in Nehemiah takes us to the theme of "Faith and Favor." How exciting to know that our faith in God and what He can do invites His favor to accomplish miraculous things! I'm looking forward to learning and growing with you in our celebration services on Sunday. Don't forget to invite someone to attend with you on Sunday, January 25 when Wm. Paul Young, author of the New York Times best selling novel The Shack, will be our guest speaker. He will share his story in the morning and then interact with questions regarding The Shack at 6pm in the evening. It is going to be a tremendous opportunity to influence those we know toward faith in Jesus.

Nehemiah 9:5-6 "Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. 6 You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you." We are being transformed by His grace!
