We are just one week away from Back to Church Day at CCC. There are many people around us who have attended church in the past but are not engaged today. A recent study revealed that eight of ten unchurched persons would come to church if they were invited. Yet, only 21 percent of active church attenders invite anyone to church in the course of a year. An incredible opportunity lies before us! Make the effort over the next few days to invite someone to our Back to Church Day on September 13.
We have an Uncommon Message of love to share. This week we will focus on getting that message out where it is needed. In these troubled times, people are looking for hope. They are looking for meaning. They are longing for peace and security. It is not so much what we say, but how we love that will influence them toward faith in God.
Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
