Easter is right around the corner and presents us wonderful opportunities to influence our friends and family toward Christ. Our award-winning choir and orchestra will present "Saviour . . . Healing Hands" on Friday, April 10, at 7:30pm and again on Saturday at 4:00 and 7:00pm. The event is free and we have some invitation tools you can use for invitation purposes.
Our traditional Good Friday service will take place at 12:15pm. and will include communion.
Easter Sunday the choir and orchestra will present excerpts from the musical in all three morning services and I will bring a life-giving message titled, "Change that Lasts." You might want to consider coming to one of the earlier services on Easter in order to provide room for the many guests who tend to come to the later service. This is going to be one awesome weekend!!!
This Sunday we continue our 40 Days of Love emphasis with "Love is not Easily Angered." Life is filled with challenges and challenging people. When we find the keys to controlling our own response, we find peace and true strength. We are all learning and growing. I’m looking forward to growing with you this week.
Colossians 3:12-17 "Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

40 Days of Love continues this week with a study from 1 Corinthians 13:5. There are four statements in that verse that are great life lessons to follow in our pursuit of a life of love. This is certainly not easy but it is definitely worth the effort. We can change the circumstances and people around us by growing in our ability to love with the strength of character modeled by Jesus himself.
We have a great missions opportunity this week. The Bible Alliance has produced a Pentecostal study Bible in many languages of the world where they have not had adequate resources to understand God's Word. This Bible has study notes written into it that provides the reader with Bible College level understanding. For many ministers in other countries, this is the only Bible training available to them. The latest project of the Bible Alliance is to translate this study Bible (also known as the "Fire Bible") into the languages of the countries where Paul traveled in his missionary journeys. These languages are: Hebrew, Greek, Turkish and Italian. Ten dollars provides one of these Bibles for a person in these distant lands. Please consider bringing an offering this week to supply as many of these study Bibles as you are able. Remember, God's Word never returns void. It will always reaps a great eternal harvest.
Isaiah 55:10-11 "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

Loving With Your Words
My follow-up appointment with Dr. Aryana went well this week. They are able to read the performance of my heart from the defibrillator/pacemaker device and I have not had any irregular rhythms since being released from the hospital. The only limitation I have is the use of my left arm for about four more weeks to make sure that the wires from the device all heal in place. I have a complete clean bill of health and also got my driving privileges back! I am grateful to have this situation resolved and I am also grateful for the many expressions of love and all the prayers that have gone up on my behalf.
This week provides a wonderful opportunity to reach out to family and friends who are not currently following Jesus. Comedy night at the Crest with Michael Jr. takes place on Friday night at 7:00 pm. For the cost of a movie ticket, you can have a great time with a purpose. Pick up an extra ticket for a friend and bring them along. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.
Sunday we continue our 40 Days of Love theme with a focus on "Loving with your Words." We have incredible power to build people up or tear them down with our words. Love chooses to speak words of life and develop a habit of encouraging others. This is going to be a very important study! Come expecting a great experience in God's presence.
James 3:9-10 "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers (and sisters), this should not be."

40 Days of Love - Love the Way Jesus Loves
I am excited to be back in the flow of things this weekend! The 40 Days of Love theme continues with a look at how we can love others the way Jesus loves us. This will be a great encouragement and inspiration as we grow in our relationship with God and with the people He brings into our lives. Come with great expectations to encounter God and receive insights from His Word that are transformational.
We are a couple weeks away from a great opportunity to influence our unchurched friends toward faith. We have reserved the Crest Theatre for a comedy night with Michael Jr. For the price of a movie ticket you can enjoy a great evening of laughter with a purpose. There is a limit of 1,000 seats so get your tickets early so you won’t miss out.
John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
See you Sunday!
