Undending Thoughts of Thanksgiving

Our traditional Thanksgiving service convenes at 10:00am on Thursday. It's always a heart warming time of giving thanks to God for His faithfulness. My prayer for you is that you will be filled with unending thoughts of thanksgiving today, tomorrow, and every day to follow.

Sunday we will examine the parable Jesus told in Luke 16 about the rich man and the beggar at the city gates. It is quite compelling and inspiring to learn more about God's view of life and what matters most. We will conclude the service with our contribution to help the millions in need through One Day to Feed the World. You will find a true blessing from participating in this benevolent opportunity.

Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Seed of Faith

THANKSGIVING

We have so much to be thankful for. This week provides wonderful opportunities to express our gratitude to God and others. Sunday, Doug will continue our series in the Parables of Jesus with a look at the seed of faith. Then, Thanksgiving day we will celebrate our blessings at 10am with a communion service.

SINGING CHRISTMAS TREE

Invest in the lives of your family and friends and invite them to this amazing Christmas experience. I don’t know of a better way to communicate the Gospel at this time of year.

SOULDESIGN

Just a word of encouragement to use the tools provided to plan your week. Growing in faith, relationships, finances, health, and outreach does not just happen without being intentional. As we pursue the principles outlined in the book, calendaring them into our schedule for the week will make them come to pass.

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Souldesign: My World and Me

MY WORLD AND ME

Wow! We are already at the final week of Souldesign. God’s plan for changing the world is to prepare us and then send us out to reveal what He is like. This is an amazing privilege to be trusted with such an important task. I’m looking forward to growing with you again this week.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

Our final league game for our high school football team is Friday, November 4, at Dixon high school at 7:30pm. If we win the game, we will win the league and go to the playoffs. If you love high school football, come on out to Dixon and cheer for our guys.

SUNDAY NIGHT HIDE AND SEEK CLUB THANKSGIVING CONCERT

Our children’s choirs and youth choir will be singing songs of praise beginning at 6:00pm Sunday, November 6. This will be a wonderful celebration of thanksgiving to God. All are invited.

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
