AMERICA'S FAVORITE COACH
Joe Ehrmann's approach to coaching football is what any parent would want for their child. He has determined that the job of a coach is to love every player and teaches his players that it is their job to love each other. It is not just a feel good weak approach. It is an approach of strength that has produced championship teams year after year. We have the privilege to learn from this gifted coach and spiritual mentor this Sunday. Can't wait to join with you for an awesome spiritual experience in worship and inspiration.
ROYAL TAILOR IN CONCERT
Sunday, May 13, at 6:00pm Royal Tailor will share their gift of music with us. Purchase a ticket for yourself and a friend and come for a great music experience.
ONE
A day of new beginnings comes our way on Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30pm in the Chapel. Ryan and Linaya Bunbury are launching a great new opportunity. ONE is a ministry geared toward singles. Whether you are currently in a relationship or not, you belong here.
1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

GOOD FRIDAY
I am looking forward to a time of contemplation and communion at 12:15pm on Friday. This is a wonderful way to begin the Easter weekend as we consider the greatest sacrifice ever paid. Because Jesus was willing to pay the ultimate price, we have access to ultimate prize.
EASTER
Four celebrations to choose from . . . Saturday at 7:00pm, Sunday at 9:00am, 10:30am, or noon. This is a perfect opportunity to invite a friend to join you at church. People are actually hoping someone will extend an invitation for this special spiritual experience. There will be incredible music, stories of lives that have been changed through faith in Jesus, and a message that will celebrate the gift God offers every person on earth. I can’t wait!
SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING
We considered the approval of purchasing a digital sign that would front the freeway from our property. It required a two-thirds majority to move forward. We ended up one vote short of a two-thirds majority. Most of the no votes were simply because some wanted to see if we could raise the funds needed to purchase the sign instead of finance it. We will present a revised approach at another special business meeting to convene on Sunday, April 22, at 5:00pm in the Auditorium. This is a wonderful opportunity and we would love to have your involvement in the decision making process if you are a member of our church.
Mark 14:4-7 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”

LIVING A LIFE OF LOVE
We will wrap up our study this week with a look at the opportunities before us to let our light shine for others to see. With Easter one week away, we want to invite our family and friends to one of our services. People are waiting for genuine love and compassion. Let’s bring it to them!
GOOD FRIDAY
Our annual Good Friday service begins at 12:15pm on April 6. It is a wonderful time of reflection regarding the supreme gift of love Jesus gave.
EASTER
Four services to choose from where we will present the Easter message . . . “God So Loved . . .” Saturday, April 7 at 7:00pm, Sunday at 9:00am, 10:30am and Noon. It is going to be a wonderful celebration of life.
SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING
We have an opportunity to place a digital sign on our property right next the Hwy. 50. Our bylaws require the approval of our members when we consider an expenditure exceeding $250,000. The cost of the sign would be in excess of this amount but will also provide a revenue opportunity to cover its cost through advertising. We would retain at least half of the ad space available for our messaging and sell the other half to cover the cost of the sign which would be paid off in five years. Our meeting will convene to consider this at 1:30pm on Sunday, April 1, in the Sanctuary.
Philippians 4:4-6 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The life we live is quite complicated in the way we are affected by its circumstances. This Sunday we will look at how we can overcome the barriers that are placed in our path to keep us from a life of love. God’s love and grace is bigger than any obstacle.
THE STUDY
Each Wednesday evening following the 6:13 prayer meeting there is an opportunity to go deeper in our knowledge of God’s Word. For the month of March I will be teaching from the New Testament letter of 1 Peter concerning how we can live faithfully in relationship to God in the midst of a corrupt world. There will also be time for interaction as I will field any questions about our current Souldesign emphasis. I’m looking forward to spending some intimate time with you in The Study.
CCS BASKETBALL SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP
Friday at 5:30 pm at Power Balance Arena (formerly Arco) our High School boy’s basketball team will play Central Catholic for the Section Championship. If you love basketball, come and support our team.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
