Souldesign: You and Me

SOULDESIGN

Life is made precious through relationships. It can also be made ugly through relationships. The goal of this week’s study is maximize the precious side of life and minimize the ugly. Each of us has the privilege of adding joy to others by the way we treat them. I am looking forward to sharing this life building hour with you on Sunday.

NEW SERVICE TIMES

You have embraced the new service times with grace! Thank you! Our goals are effectively being realized as we have spread our attendance quite evenly between all three services. Remember, the Classic service including the choir begins at 9:00am, and two Casual services with the Freeway Fifty Band follow at 10:30am and 12:00pm. Now let’s fill all three by inviting our friends to experience God with us.

ETHIOPIA

This Sunday we have a wonderful opportunity to advance what God is doing in East Africa. The church is growing and there is a great need to adequately train pastors for this harvest. If you are able, please prepare an offering to help fund the Bible school in Addis Ababa so that we can reach as many people as possible in that part of our world.

Romans 10:15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

God and Me

SOULDESIGN

There is a spiritual consciousness in all of us that longs for something more than what we possess in and of ourselves. Left to myself, I drift toward destructive thoughts and actions. I know I need God in my life. I want God in my life! He makes things right in me. One thing I know, when I am focused on pursuing God, I am at my best. This week we will take a look at planning our week to include our pursuit of God’s best. Invite a friend and join us at 9:00am, 10:30am, or 12:00pm.

6:13 PRAYER

Every Wednesday we meet for prayer at 6:13pm. It is a wonderful time of worship, meditation, and prayer to our Almighty God. This is an important hour in the life of our church each week. God responds to our prayers. Let’s worship Him and ask for His power and blessing!

SINGING CHRISTMAS TREE

The box office is open for this year’s celebration of Christmas. This is a wonderful event to bring friends to. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!

Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

New Beginnings

The day of our service time changes has arrived! I am excited about our potential to reach more people with the message of God’s love. Our current 8:00am and 9:30am services will combine to meet at 9:00am in the Classic worship format. Our current 11:15am service will have two new times to choose from at 10:30am or 12:00pm. Sunday School classes will be offered at 10:30am so those attending a class can choose to come to the worship service at 9:00am or 12:00pm. There will be exciting programs for kids at all three service times. Don’t forget . . . invite a friend to join you this week!

SOULDESIGN

Pick up your copy of Souldesign as we begin this six-week study on Sunday. There are tools included that have the potential to help us move forward in our spiritual journey. I am looking forward to a wonderful season of growth with you.

WATER BAPTISM

Every first Sunday of the month we will provide an opportunity for water baptism in all three services. The guest service team can direct you to the room for instructions 15 minutes before each service.

“I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. When you come looking for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed." Jeremiah 29:11-13 MSG
