It's Wednesday evening and I am on a plane to Tampa, Florida. I will be attending meetings for two days on the campus of Southeastern University to lend my support to the development of a new building dedicated to the training of vocational ministers. The times we live in are growing more desperate and the opportunity to bring in the end-time harvest of souls is before us. Are these exciting days or what?!
My mind is flooded with thoughts of thanksgiving and I am really moved when I think about the potential of what we will experience on Sunday. It is a day set aside to say "thank you" to God. My message will be woven with worship and I anticipate a heightened sensitivity to the presence of our God and Savior.
Don't forget the One Day to Feed the World offering this week. Our goal is to determine what one day's wage would be and give that amount to help alleviate hunger and touch the soul and spirit of people around the world. There will be a return on this investment that is eternal.
Psalm 7:17 "I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High."
Our annual Thanksgiving Day service will start at 10am on Thursday and will include communion. It is a wonderful way to start the holiday season. I hope you will be able to come and worship with my family.
